Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a former chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. Anne Burrell. Burrell hosts of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive hairstyle and her pumped up personality, explains easy techniques any person can master. Chef Burrell has worked at New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine traditions and geography. She also competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. While growing up in New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. After obtaining an English and Communication diploma in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the industry of restaurants by registering at The Culinary Institute of America. The student says "I loved being a Culinary Institute of American student. I loved every minute of it." I was unable to learn enough, didn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. The time she spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate Italian philosophy and culture, which has had an impact on her own culinary perspective. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten children's lives who are facing challenges. Burrell is also an Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador who promotes education about children with diabetes. as a speaker, guest and mentor, she travels around the U.S. to share her love for cooking and professional career. Anne has said throughout her culinary career she's grateful to have the opportunity to be able to share what's essential to her.
